A Backcountry Birding Adventure: By Foot, Kayak and Pontoon Boat

Nestled in the scenic wine country north of the Napa Valley lies Clear Lake, one of the oldest natural lakes in North America. Boasting more than 100 miles of shoreline, its diverse habitat makes it an ideal home to more than 300 species of birds throughout the year and more than 100 during late spring and early summer. Explore the shore, hills, valleys and coves of this designated Important Bird Area with expert birders as you search for herons, egrets, cormorants, flycatchers, grebes, woodpeckers, swallows, nuthatches and more. Program is co-sponsored by the Redbud Audubon Society.
