Explore the charming fishing town of Cordova, accessible only by boat or plane.

• Visit the monitoring fish wheels run by the Alaska Native Corporations and the State of Alaska, and learn from their staff about the king, silver and world-famous Copper River sockeye salmon.
• Stroll across the Copper River on the Million Dollar Bridge — where the historic Copper River railroad once connected the Kennecott copper mine to Cordova — and learn its surprising history.
