Join active and retired Foreign Service Officers in a frank and compelling discussion of topics related to America's closest neighbors in the Western Hemisphere. Through expert lectures rich with historical reflection, personal observation and policy analysis, gain a greater understanding of the region’s geopolitical landscape in the context of Cuba, Venezuela, Haiti, Bolivia, NAFTA and immigration. To broaden your perspective, visit the Canadian Embassy in Washington and hear from a diplomat about issues affecting the execution of foreign policy, meet Mexican diplomats to discuss border concerns, narco-trafficking, organized crime and other pressing matters, and further enhance your learning with documentaries on pertinent themes.

Walking less than one block, getting on and off coach unassisted.

Program in association with the American Foreign Service Association, established in 1924.
