Foreign Service experts will take you "behind the scenes" on key issues including peace in the Middle East, security in Europe and obstacles to global stability posed by third-world population growth, poverty and nuclear proliferation. Learn from ambassadors and other veteran Foreign Service officers how embassies and consulates function, how America's professional diplomats are trained and how they conduct our government's business, assist U.S. citizens and protect U.S. interests in the world. The Chautauqua Institution offers this program with the American Foreign Service Association, the professional association of the Foreign Service.

Spend the entire week with the ambassadors and foreign service officers and their wives/ husbands in a wonderfully informal and friendly, yet very educational atmosphere.

Shuttle service in the pre and post season to all of the sites away from the hotel for classes and entertainment. In the summer season there is a complimentary public shuttle system on campus.
