Explore the Finger Lakes Trail system that runs through wine country. Daily hikes on moderate to hilly terrain of up to 5 miles. Spectacular geologic wonders - gorges and waterfalls in Watkins Glen and Ithaca areas, and in State Parks - sites built by the CCC in the '30s. Hike on trails around Keuka, Cayuga and Seneca Lakes and in Letchworth State Park. Special features include Watkins Glen Gorge, Treman Gorge, wine tastings, forester/naturalist lectures, vertical tower climb, free time for two museums in Corning, Discover central New York's in spring or fall - the glory days in white pine, hemlock and maple forests, and the educational perspective of environmentalists and Iroquois specialists.



Hiking 4-5 miles per day. Suggestions will be available for additional hikes on program site.



Program in association with Watson Homestead Conference and Retreat Center.



Corning

The southern gateway to the Finger Lakes region in western New York, Corning is a charming and historic community best known for the world-renowned Corning Museum of Glass, as well as nearby glacial lakes and gorgeous panoramas.
