Use the simple, inexpensive nature printing technique to make note cards, art work suitable for framing, and clothing decorated with plant images. With the art already in the plants, this process yields amazing detail.



No prior art or drawing experience required.



Program in association with Cedar Lakes Crafts Center, embracing timeless crafts in tranquil Appalachia.

Nestled in the Appalachian foothills of the Ohio River Valley in the western part of the state, the county seat of Ripley features a historic downtown and theater and easy access to nearby areas of natural beauty, abundant wildlife and hiking trails.

John Doughty



John Doughty is a retired chemist who has been doing nature printing for over 25 years. He is a 20-year exhibitor at the Mountain State Arts & Crafts Fair. John is past president of the international organization, The Nature Printing Society. His work was selected as part of a year-long exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C., and he is the co-author of a book, "Creating Art from Nature: How To Handprint Botanicals."
