Learn about the development and persistence of the island's cultural and ethnic traditions. On the island of Hawaii study marine life. Study endangered birds, fern forests, lava tubes and steaming calderas at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Explore rainforests, the island's tallest waterfall and the Hamakua Coast. Field interpreters from the Kauai Museum, Grove Farm Homestead Museum and the University of Hawaii at Hilo lead this learning adventure. Field trips include the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, the National Tropical Botanical Garden and Waimea Canyon, "Grand Canyon of the Pacific."
