  From the East to Hyatt Palm Springs Take I-10 West to Vista Chino exit: Turn left on Vista Chino Drive to Indian Canyon Drive. Turn left on Indian Canyon Drive to Amado. Turn right on Amado. Hyatt Palm Springs is on the corner of Amado and Palm Canyon Drive.
  From the West to Hyatt Palm Springs Take I-10 East to Highway 111 (Palm Springs Exit): Remain on Highway 111 for approximately 11 miles (it will become North Palm Canyon Drive). Hyatt Palm Springs is located on the right at 285 North Palm Canyon Drive. Hyatt Palm Springs is on the corner of Amado and Palm Canyon Dr.
  From the East to Renaissance Hotel Take I-10 East to Highway 111 (Palm Springs Exit). Turn Left onto Tahquitz Canyon Way, hotel on Left (approx 12 miles from freeway).

 Afternoon: Check-in at the front desk to get your room. After you have your room assignment, come over to the Road Scholar table to register with the program staff, to get your welcome packet containing your name-tag, up-to-date schedule and other important information, and to confirm the time and location of the Orientation session. If you arrive late, please ask for your packet at the front desk when you check in.
 Dinner: Welcome dinner at your hotel.
 Evening: Following dinner will be orientation and a chance to meet your fellow participants!

 Breakfast: From 6:30 AM enjoy a breakfast buffet at your hotel.
 Morning: Depart hotel via motor coach to the Palm Springs High School. This will be the location for all film viewings throughout your program. Upon arrival, a general overview will be provided along with an introduction to the first film. 9:00 AM THE 100 YEAR OLD MAN WHO CLIMBED OUT A WINDOW AND DISAPPEARED (114 min) After viewing the film, there will be a short break before the second film. 11:30 AM Film: DANCING ARABS (105 min)
 Lunch: Return to your hotel via motor coach and enjoy lunch with your group.
 Afternoon: To compliment the morning films there will be afternoon and evening critique sessions. These sessions will be facilitated by film experts and will give participants the opportunity to discuss the films in more depth and gather a greater appreciation for the content. The sessions have been scheduled to give participants the flexibility to see other films. For those who would like to see additional evening films we recommend attending the afternoon critique and for those who would like to see additional afternoon films we recommend attending the evening critique. Critiques will be held daily at both hotels at 2:30pm and 7:00pm.

  Palm Springs Aerial Tram
Ascend two and a half miles to a pristine wilderness aboard the World’s Largest Rotating Tramcars. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway constructed in rugged Chino Canyon on the north edge of Palm Springs - about two hours by car from Los Angeles and San Diego - did not just happen. It required foresight, planning, financing and, most of all a vision. For years, it was the dream of a young electrical engineer named Francis F. Crocker to "go up there where it's nice and cool". Be sure to see the film they show. Hours of Operation Tram cars depart at least every half hour from 10 a.m., Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. weekends and holiday periods.
