Palm Springs International Film Festival. Screen the latest international releases and documentaries – film productions that are in competition for Academy Award Nominations from worldwide studios – and hear commentary from directors, actors and other experts from the industry. Evenings offer free time for you to attend additional films and explore the festival on your own.

Driving Directions
  From the East to Hyatt Palm Springs Take I-10 West to Vista Chino exit: Turn left on Vista Chino Drive to Indian Canyon Drive. Turn left on Indian Canyon Drive to Amado. Turn right on Amado. Hyatt Palm Springs is on the corner of Amado and Palm Canyon Drive.
  From the West to Hyatt Palm Springs Take I-10 East to Highway 111 (Palm Springs exit): Remain on Highway 111 for approximately 11 miles (it will become North Palm Canyon Drive). Hyatt Palm Springs is located on the right at 285 North Palm Canyon Drive. Hyatt Palm Springs is on the corner of Amado and Palm Canyon Dr.

 Afternoon: Check-in at the front desk to get your room. Then register at the Road Scholar desk in the lobby to pick up your program materials.
 Dinner: Welcome dinner at the hotel.
 Evening: Following dinner will be orientation and a chance to meet your fellow participants.

Day 2: Films # 1 and #2
(Saturday, January 3)

Note: Each day will feature a critiquing session or a lecture by a film festival representative. Times will vary depending on the film schedule



   
 Breakfast: Breakfast at the hotel.
 Morning: Daily announcements followed by viewing your first film at one of the six participating theaters. (Private transportation will be provided)
 Lunch: Enjoy lunch with your fellow participants at the hotels.
 Afternoon: View your second film at one of the theaters. After the film, you have free time to view other films on your own, use the hotel amenities or explore the local area.
 Dinner: Dinner on your own to explore the local flavor.

Day 3: Films # 3 & 4
(Sunday, January 4)

 Lunch: Enjoy lunch with your fellow participants at the hotels.
 Afternoon: View your fourth film at one of the theaters. After the film, you have free time to view other films on your own, use the hotel amenities or explore the local area.
 Dinner: Farewell Dinner

Day 4: Films # 5 & 6

 Afternoon: View your sixth film at one of the theaters. Program ends at approximately 4PM.

  Palm Springs Aerial Tram
Ascend two and a half miles to a pristine wilderness aboard the World’s Largest Rotating Tramcars. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway constructed in rugged Chino Canyon on the north edge of Palm Springs - about two hours by car from Los Angeles and San Diego - did not just happen. It required foresight, planning, financing and, most of all a vision. For years, it was the dream of a young electrical engineer named Francis F. Crocker to "go up there where it's nice and cool". Be sure to see the film they show. Hours of Operation Tram cars depart at least every half hour from 10 a.m., Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. weekends and holiday periods.   The Living Desert, Wildlife & Botanical Park
The Living Desert was established in March, 1970, as a 360 acre wilderness preserve.
