Highlights

• Discuss the elements of jazz and the greats of the genre with a local musician and college professor, and meet a dance instructor who teaches you a few steps — you’ll need them as the festival revs up.
• Learn about Oregon’s coastal ecology on naturalist-led field trips to Simpson Reef, Cape Arago, Shore Acres Botanical Gardens State Park and a variety of local beaches.
• The Jazz Festival kicks off with an evening celebration, followed by more than two days of dancing and laughter at events of your choosing and wrapped up with an unforgettable gospel service on the final day.
