|We'll start out the morning with a classes about the fascinating flora and fauna of the Sonora Desert and about Tucson's "Wild West" history.|
We'll then depart for a field trip to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
The Museum is a world-renowned zoo, natural history museum, and botanical garden, all in one location. Exhibits depict the natural landscape of the Sonora Desert region so realistically that we find ourselves looking into the eyes of mountain lions, prairie dogs, Gila monsters and more! There are almost 2 miles of paths traversing 21 acres of beautiful desert with more than 300 animal species and 1,200 kinds of plants.
