One of the world’s secret gems, Grand Manan Island is a blend of unspoiled beauty, active fishing communities and warm, welcoming people. On this uncommon adventure away from the crowds, discover four Grand Manan lighthouses that steer navigators through treacherous shoals and fog. Home to the world’s highest tides, explore the ocean floor at low tide, learning about sea stars, crabs, periwinkles and baby lobsters. By land, soak up late-spring wildflowers — lupins, wild orchids and roses!

Highlights

• Walk across the ocean floor to explore the secret world of the intertidal zone.
• Get to know the flora of Grand Manan's shoreline, acid bogs, fields and forest, including some very rare treats.
• Discover dramatic landscapes and visit several of the island’s many lighthouses and fog stations.

Activity Particulars
