Don’t move anything — this is a crime scene! Join your grandchild behind the police tape as experienced police officers, crime scene investigators, a forensic entomologist and a ballistics specialist show you how to process a crime scene using forensic science.

Highlights

• Try your hand at lifting fingerprints, measure the path of a bullet, record and photograph the crime scene, and recreate a suspect’s face on a computer screen.
• Compare the real thing to what is on television during your visits to law enforcement and forensics facilities.
• Work with a team of sleuths to solve the mystery in a mock crime scene.

Activity Particulars

Walking on varied terrain, standing up to 60 minutes with limited seating. Mock crime scene activities require crouching, maneuvering in tight spaces for grandchildren.

Coordinated by Road Scholar.
