(Monday, February 17)

Note: This is a FULL DAY of walking! Please wear comfortable shoes.

Breakfast: Breakfast will be in Trader's Restaurant. Enjoy a wide assortment of delicious breakfast foods including Mickey pancakes and an omelet station.
Morning: FIELD TRIP: SeaWorld. Board the bus for our full-day field trip. SeaWorld in Orlando is one of the world’s foremost marine-life based zoological theme parks. Its educational programs and activities connect people to the sea and sea life in innovative and entertaining ways. Collectively, the SeaWorld parks nationwide maintain one of the largest animal collections in North America: approximately 67,000 animals including 7,000 marine and terrestrial animals and 60,000 fish.

During our field trip, you will go behind the scenes as your knowledgeable guide provides fascinating information about SeaWorld’s standards of care, state-of-the-art animal habitats, and commitment to animal welfare through a broad range of best practices based upon behavioral enrichment, preventive health, veterinary medicine and facilities design and management.

Highlights include learning how animal experts care for rescued manatees and sea turtles, touching a shark, exploring a hidden polar bear den, and interacting with a penguin. One of the most popular aspects of the experience is getting up close with dolphins to learn what makes these clever characters. You will see how the park cares for them as you participate in a training session and even be able to touch a dolphin.

Lunch: Lunch will be in the SeaWorld park
Afternoon: FIELD TRIP continues: Seals and Sea Lions. During an approximately one-hour guided walk, see what it takes to care for SeaWorld's seals and sea lions. Learn about their life cycles, habitats, and behaviors. You will also be able to help feed buckets of fish to dozens of sea lions and harbor seals at Pacific Point Preserve — plus, photo opportunities!

Or

possibly spend some time with the dolphins in our care and you'll quickly understand what makes these clever characters some of the parks most popular animals. See how they care for their dolphins, participate in a training session and touch a dolphin.

These trips are subject to change without notice!

Dinner: Dinner will be at the hotel. You will have your choice of 2 items in a private room.
Evening: Social hour. We will get together and play cards or socialize. If you do not care to... the evening is yours to relax for the evening.

In addition to wildlife observation — including the feeding of 200 ’gators! — you will see how Spanish Conquistadores and Native Americans lived in replicas of a Native American village and a 16th-Century Spanish fort.
Lunch: Enjoy lunch in the jungle adventure.
Afternoon: FIELD TRIP: The Everglades by Airboat. Aboard state-of-the-art airboats, explore the Central Florida Everglades along the St. John’s River, a natural paradise of abundant flora and fauna.  Breakfast: Breakfast will be in Trader's Restaurant. Enjoy a wide assortment of delicious breakfast foods including Mickey pancakes and an omelet station.
Morning: FIELD TRIP: Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. This urban environmental Audubon Center focuses on the rescue, medical treatment, rehabilitation and release of Florida’s raptors. Its mission is to promote a culture of conservation towards birds of prey and their habitats, and develop future stewards of our natural resources. You will learn about the unique adaptations of raptors and the challenges they face with opportunities to see Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Kites, Owls and Falcons, some of nature’s top predators. The center includes a facility that houses birds currently under rehabilitation, as well as a man-made wetland, and exhibits highlighting conservation.
Lunch: Lunch will be on the road as a group.
Afternoon: FIELD TRIP: Avian Reconditioning Center (ARC). Located in Apopka, Florida, just outside of Orlando, the ARC is dedicated to raptor rehabilitation, education and research. One of its main focuses is the physical reconditioning of raptors. Learn about Florida's native birds of prey species as well as several migratory species, their life cycles, habitats, conservation issues, and more. The 1,700 animals that inhabit Animal Kingdom represent 250 species.
