Coordinated by Pilgrim Pines Conference Center.
Celebrate the 200th birthday of Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi, leading Italian composer of the late 19th Century. Led by professional opera artists, examine his operas including “La traviata” and “Aida,” and enjoy a concert by the Hart family.
Like champagne, the music is bubbly and intoxicating. Study famous operettas including “Die Fledermaus” and “The Merry Widow” as well as brilliant but less well known works such as “La belle Hélène” and a few rarities, all reflecting their times.
The Courage to Create Beauty |
Beautiful music, art and photography express and inspire creativity. What are 2 steps leading to scientific insights and spiritual epiphanies? Creativity births new ideas that can challenge the establishment. Galileo, Einstein and Gandhi had courage to do so.

Nestled in the valley of southwest New Hampshire, West Swanzey is one of several postcard-perfect towns in the Monadock region. Winding roads pass covered bridges, historic sites and the 3,000-foot Mount Monadnock, one of the most popular ascents in New England.
