A noted historian once commented that the best stories are made up of five things — money, mystery, power, religion and sex — and the life of Baltimore-bred Bessie Wallis Warfield had them all. Meet with local experts to learn about Wallis’ upbringing in the affluent Mount Vernon neighborhood and about key events that set her on the path to change history, becoming Mrs. Spencer, then Mrs. Simpson and finally the Duchess of Windsor.

Highlights

• Join experts at the Maryland Historical Society who share their knowledge about the Wallis Warfield artifacts in their collection, including the famous “monkey dress” worn by the Duchess.
• Take walking field trips through the beautiful and historic Mount Vernon neighborhood to schools, churches, private clubs and home frequented by Wallis during her Baltimore days and later as the Duchess.
• Attend a recital at the renowned Peabody Conservatory of Music, just steps from your hotel.
