To Americans young and old, the words “one if by land, two if by sea” invoke the image of Paul Revere on his legendary midnight ride. Come to Boston and create your own legendary experience with your grandchild. Feel the spirit of the Revolution as you throw tea into the harbor at the new Boston Tea Party Museum. Follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church, float down the Charles River on a “Duck Boat,” and discover more than 500 interactive exhibits at the Museum of Science. Learn more about this “city upon a hill” and make a local favorite, Boston cream pie.

Boston’s Back Bay Station is located 3 blocks from the hotel, The station is serviced by Amtrak, featuring Acela Express and Northeast Corridor regional trains, and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) with access to Attleboro/Providence, Framingham/Worcester, Needham, and Franklin commuter rail lines, and Orange Line rapid transit. There is also a daily Amtrak train (Lake Shore Limited) to Chicago, and access to local bus service. .

From the airport take the complimentary Massport shuttles bus # 66 (this bus picks up at all terminals) to the blue line airport stations. Take the blue line inbound to government center. At government center transfer to any outbound green line train. Exit at Arlington St. stop. At street level walk 1 block on Arlington St (make sure you are walking away from the park and walking with the follow of traffic on Arlington St.) and you will arrive at the hotel.

 
Driving Directions
  From Logan Airport to Park Plaza: Follow signs to Sumner Tunnel/Boston. Take the ramp onto RT-1A S/William F McClellan Hwy. Merge north onto Interstate 93 and take the Storrow Drive - Exit 26. Follow Storrow Drive and exit left at Back Bay/Copley Exit. At lights, take left onto Beacon St, and then take an immediate right onto Arlington St. The Boston Park Plaza Hotel is the 2nd building on the left after the park.
  From the North to Park Plaza Take Route I-93 South into Boston. Take the Storrow Drive - Exit 26 off of I-93. Follow Storrow Drive and exit left at the Back Bay/Copley Exit. At lights, take left onto Beacon St, and then take an immediate right onto Arlington St. The Boston Park Plaza Hotel is the 2nd building on the left after the park.
  From the South to Park Plaza Follow I-93 North towards Boston. Take the Storrow Drive - Exit 26 off of I-93. Follow Storrow Drive and exit left at the Back Bay/Copley Exit. At lights, take left onto Beacon St., and then take an immediate right onto Arlington St. The Boston Park Plaza Hotel is the 2nd building on the left after the park.
  From the West to Park Plaza Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Rte. 90 East) into the city. Exit at Copley Square (22) and follow straight onto Stuart St. Follow to the 5th set of lights and turn left for the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.

Day 2: Today my Road Scholars you shall see what life was like for Paul Revere on your journey by land and sea discover the true history
(Friday, July 12)
   
 Breakfast: Breakfast
 Morning: Start your day as Paul Revere started his fateful night on April 18, 1775 by quietly crossing the waters to Charlestown (via ferry not a row boat). As you approach shore you will see a large ship, is it one of the British battleship that Paul Revere was hiding from? Lucky for you it is not! You have spotted the oldest commissioned navy vessel afloat, the USS Constitution. Once on land explore the USS Constitution Museum and discover what life was like as a sailor in 1812. Enter the House of Rendezvous where sailors were recruited and stand next to the description of an 1812 sailor. Find out if you have what it took to be a member of the crew? Then meet a present day member of the crew as you head over to "Old Ironside" where you will be welcomed aboard by a US Navy personal
 Lunch: Lunch
 Afternoon: Step back in time as you stroll the streets of the North End. This neighborhood is where Paul Revere spent much of his life and includes much of the Freedom Trail. See the Old North Church, learn the history of the phrase "One if by land, two if by Sea", hear the stories of what life was like in the Paul Revere home and much more.
 Dinner: Dinner at a local restaurant in Boston.

Day 3: City Highlights Duck Ride/ Museum of Science
(Saturday, July 13)
   
 Breakfast: Breakfast
 Morning: Board your "DUCK", a W.W.II style amphibious landing vehicle. First, you'll be greeted by your legendary ConDUCKtor, who'll be narrating your ride. Then you're off on a journey like you've never had before. You'll cruise by all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts from the golden-domed State House to Bunker Hill and the TD Banknorth Garden, Boston Common and Copley Square to the Big Dig, Government Center to fashionable Newbury Street, Quincy Market to the Prudential Tower, and more. And, as the best of Boston unfolds before your eyes, your ConDUCKtor will be giving you lots of little known facts and interesting insights about our unique and wonderful city.
 Lunch: Lunch
 Afternoon: Visit Boston's Museum of Science to enjoy a presentation a. Get an up-close view of Cliff, a 65-million-year-old fossil in his new home. Named for the grandfather of its donor, Cliff is one of only four nearly complete Triceratops on public display anywhere in the world.

Day 4: Boston Harbor Islands/Free Time to explore all that Boston has to offer
(Sunday, July 14)
   
 Breakfast: Breakfast
 Morning: All aboard!! Take a ferry to George's Island part of the Boston Harbors Islands. As you approach the island your eyes will spot the Civil-War era Fort Warren. The fort is named after Dr. Joseph Warren, the man who enlisted Paul Revere and William Dawes on the famous "Midnight Ride." Once on land take a ranger guided walk of the island.

 Afternoon: Free time. Countine your land and sea adventure! Ask your group leader for suggestions

Day 5: Boston Tea Party Museum / New England Aquarium
(Monday, July 15)
   
 Breakfast: Breakfast
 Morning: Meet the colonists, explore the ships and dump tea overboard just as the Sons of Liberty did on that fateful night of December 16, 1773 at the Boston Tea Party Museum. This floating Museum is unlike unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Live actors, high-tech, interactive exhibits, authentically restored tea ships and the stirring, multi-sensory documentary “Let it Begin Here,” are just a taste of what you’ll see, hear and feel.
 Lunch: lunch
 Afternoon: Spend the afternoon at the New England Aquarium. Take a trip to exotic waters and experience more than 70 exhibits featuring aquatic animals from around the world. Don't miss the fearsome lionfish, the delicate leafy seadragons and the mysterious giant Pacific octopus. Go out back to see the Northern fur seals in action in their open-air exhibit, and be sure to visit the Atlantic harbor seals out front.

Day 6: Fenway Park/Program departures

 Breakfast: Enjoy breakfast before you check out of your room.
 Morning: Explore America's oldest baseball park still in use with an offical Fenway Park Guide. Celebrating its 100th year anniversary, participants will have an opportunity to stand on the "Green Monster", see the Ted Williams Seat, and trace the history of Americas most beloved ball park!
