A Three Act Lincoln
Learn about the making of the man, the candidate, the Civil War President, and what happened when the war came North with Dr. Randall Buchman, Professor of History Emeritus at Defiance College.
Native Indiana Plants and Animals
Examine and identify wildflowers, trees, insects, and native Indiana birds in background lectures and while hiking state park trails. Biologist and Naturopath Bill Brenneman will explain some of the medicinal and healthy lifestyle uses of plants and their continuing use in research.
Famous Hoosiers
Discuss Hoosiers in movies, music, literature, art, and sports with musician-historian Bruce Johnson. Featured musician Adrienne Provenzano will present a biography and musical tribute to author Gene Stratton-Porter, first female movie producer.
McCormick's Creek State Park
Named for the area’s first settler, John McCormick, McCormick’s Creek State Park is the oldest state park in Indiana. The park is home to a canyon, waterfalls and hiking trails, and its entrance gatehouse and stone bridge are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Description:
The Inn features 75 recently renovated guest rooms with private baths and maid service. A dining room, meeting rooms, recreation room and several different lounge areas. The Inn is smoke free and alcohol free. Alcohol is permitted in the individual guests rooms. The Inn is situated in McCormick's Creek, a 1,924 acre Indiana State Park south of Indianapolis and fourteen miles west of Blooming. In 1927 a naturalist program was started, the first in Indiana and the United States. Much of the infrastructure of the park was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps and many of the CCC-built structures, retaining walls, and elegant, arched limestone bridges remain in use today. The park entrance gatehouse and a stone arch bridge over McCormick's Creek are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Follow 70 or 74 west to Interstate 465. Follow 465 West to Interstate 70. West on I 70 to Exit 41, Turn South on 231 to Spencer. Turn East on 46 two miles to Park.
From the North
From Indianapolis Bypass 465 take 70 West to Exit 41. Follow US231 South to Spencer. Turn E on 46. Drive 2 miles to Park Entrance. Or alternate directions Follow Interstate 69 or Interstate 65 South to 465. Follow 465 South to State Road 37. Follow SR 37 South to Martinsville. Turn W on SR 44 (2 miles) to State Road 67. Drive 17 miles on SR 67 to US 231. Drive five miles south on 231 to Spencer and SR 46. Turn left or E on 46 two miles to Park entrance.
From the South
Follow 37 N to Bloomington. Turn left (W) on SR 46. Drive 12 miles on SR 46 to Park Entrance on north side of road. Or Take Interstate 74 or Interstate 65 north to Indy bypass 465. Take Interstate 465 West to Interstate 70. Follow I 70 West to Exit 41. Take US 231 South to Spencer. Turn E on SR 46. Drive two miles to Park Entrance.
From the West
Follow Interstate 70 East to Exit 41. Follow US 231 South to Spencer. Turn left (E) on SR 46 to Park (2 mi) on left.
