Immerse yourself in fantasy and imagination as you enter the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter.” In-depth discussions explore the background, major themes, hidden meanings, and parallels with “muggle” history and myth found throughout the most successful book/movie series in history. Meet magical challenges and venture with experts into incredible recreations made in collaboration with movie-set designers.




Highlights

• Get “sorted” and start to earn points for your “house” to earn prizes at the end of the week.
• Visit Hogwarts, Dumbledore’s study, Gryffindor Common Room, Hagrid’s Hut and Hogsmeade, and take part in a Quidditch match with visitors from the International Quidditch Association.
• Go behind the scenes at Universal Orlando to see how high-tech animated rides operate and how special effects are used in movies.

Daily Schedule

Day 1: Registration, Get Acquainted Session, Dinner, and Orientation
(Sunday, July 28)

Note: Participants will go through a traditional "sorting hat" activity. Are you Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw? The hat will tell you.



   
 Afternoon: Welcome to our Harry Potter and Universal Studios program. We are getting ready for a great week of fun and adventure. We are going to start off at 4:00 with registration. See you then!
 Dinner: Welcome banquet with kid friendly food.
 Evening: Orientation. Go over the week's schedule. Get sorted into your "house". Are you Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw? The Hat will let you know. After the sorting of houses the rest of your evening is yours to relax, settle in, and get ready for a fun week.

Day 2: Behind the Scenes guided tour. Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Lunch at Three Broomsticks.
(Monday, July 29)
   
 Breakfast: Breakfast will be in the hotel
 Morning: Trip to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure for a behind the Scenes guided tour. We will then have lunch at Three Broomsticks.
 Lunch: Lunch will be at Three Broomsticks. Are you going to try the Butter beer?
 Afternoon: Enjoy Wizarding World of Harry Potter. You will have the choice to go back to the hotel and rest for a while and then go back to the park in the evening or you can stay all day. Your choice. You will have a ticket to go in between either park.
 Dinner: Dinner at the park with a gift card. You can eat inside the park or out in CityWalk.
 Evening: Enjoy your time in the park.

Day 3: Learn to make Butter Beer. Who can make the best? Which House will win?

 Breakfast: Breakfast will be in the hotel
 Morning: Harry Potter and the Magic of Adaptation class. (This is subject to change without notice)
 Lunch: Lunch will be at the hotel
 Afternoon: Wizard's Owls - with the Avian Reconditioning Center. Making Butter beer. Taste and judge different recipes. What "House" will win the butter beer taste challenge?
 Dinner: Dinner will be at the hotel.
 Evening: Harry Potter trivia game. Who will win and get more "house" points added to their totals.

Day 4: Behind the Scenes Special Effects Tour at Universal Studios. You will have a ticket that will get you into either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure.

 Breakfast: Breakfast will be in the hotel
 Morning: Behind the Scenes Special Effects guided tour at Universal Studios.
 Lunch: Lunch in the park. The location is up to you with your Universal gift card.
 Afternoon: Enjoy Wizarding World of Harry Potter. You will have the choice to go back to the hotel and rest for a while and then go back to the park in the evening or you can stay all day. Your choice. You will have a ticket to go in between either park.
 Dinner: Dinner is on your own.

Day 5: How Universal Studios brought a fictional world to life using some technological magic. Quidditch: The sport of witches and wizards around the world. Finish the evening with Blue Man Group and dinner out.
(Thursday, August 1)
   
 Breakfast: Breakfast will be in the hotel.
 Morning: Bus to Universal Studios for a special program by one of the team members of Universal. After the special program we will come back to the hotel and get ready to make our wands.
 Lunch: Lunch will be in the hotel.
 Afternoon: QUIDDITCH!!! Grandparents and grandchildren alike will be encouraged to try their hand at the sport of Quidditch.
 Dinner: Dinner will be at the Hard Rock Café at City Walk. Depending on the tickets we get for Blue Man... we may eat dinner before the show or after.
 Evening: BLUE MAN GROUP performance.

Day 6: Program wrap up, winner of House points, prizes, and departure.

 Breakfast: Breakfast will be in the hotel.

Description: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second novel in the Harry Potter series written by J. K. Rowling.
