|FIELD TRIP: Bowers Museum of Cultural Art
Enjoy a guided walk of the special exhibit, "Tsar's Cabinet: 200 Years of Decorative Arts Under the Romanovs", as well as one of the Museum's permanent exhibits, "The First Californians", which features Native American art and artifacts.
Following the docent tour, participants may explore the museum's other permanent exhibits such as California Legacies: Missions and Ranchos Gallery (1768-1848); Classic California: Recently Conserved Paintings from the Permanent Collection; Pre-Columbian Exhibits, featuring Arts from the sophisticated Pre-Columbian cultures of Mexico and Central America and Ancient Arts of China: A 5,000 Year Legacy.
We will arrive at the Bowers Museum around 1:30PM and participate in the guided tour from 1:45 to 3:00PM. We will depart the Museum at 4:00PM, leaving an hour to view other exhibits. Please make your plans accordingly.
Participants may also be interested in viewing the "Gems of the Medici," a specially ticketed exhibition, on their own. Tickets are priced at Seniors $13 p/p; Adults $15 p/p and may be ordered online in advance.
