In this multicultural experience, learn how China’s neighboring countries — Japan, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam — were influenced by her culture and how they incorporated it into their own civilizations. With foreign nationals and an American Foreign Service diplomat, gain an understanding and appreciation of the heritage and history of these different nations and peoples. During a field trip to Guang Ming Buddhist Temple, encounter the religious beliefs of a majority of Asian cultures from the spiritual leader, and enjoy other highlights such as invigorating Tai Chi each morning, entertainment and presentations each evening by ethnic artisans and performers, and a multicultural feast to give you a taste of a variety of Asian cuisines.
