Brilliant white-sand beaches greet beautiful emerald waters at this beachfront resort on the north shore of the Gulf of Mexico, 26 miles west of Pensacola. Golf courses, hiking trails, fresh water fishing and bike paths are just a few minutes away.

You must register at least 24 hours in advance. The sooner you register, the easier it is for them to match you with someone else and lower your cost. When you call you will get Yellow Cab, you must ask for Mobile Bay Transportation. They will transfer you to Mobile Bay Transportation. You can register on line by emailing dispatch@mobilebaytransportation.com or you can call 251-476-7711. Confirm your reservation before your flight lands to ensure pick up. Driving Directions
  From Interstate 10, east or west Take exit 44 south at the Loxley Alabama exit. Go south on State Highway 59, Gulf Shores Parkway, about 35 miles into Gulf Shores. Hiqhway 59 ends at Highway 182. Turn left on Highway 182, East Beach Boulevard. East Beach Boulevard becomes Perdido Beach Boulevard. Holiday Inn Express is located about 5.2 mile on the right, next to Souvenir City.
  From Interstate 65 (Montgomery, AL) Take exit 37 south, the Bay Minette/Gulf Shores Parkway exit. Take State Highway 287 south to State Highway 59 south, Gulf Shores Parkway. It is about 60 miles to Gulf Shores. Hiqhway 59 ends at Highway 182. Turn left on Highway 182, East Beach Boulevard. East Beach Boulevard becomes Perdido Beach Boulevard. Holiday Inn Express is located about 5.2 mile on the right, next to Souvenir City.

Day 1: Welcome and Orientation/Dinner in hotel dining room/Getting to Know You
(Sunday, October 20)
   
 Afternoon: Welcome by the University of South Alabama staff. Orientation for the hotel, schedule of activities, including information about field trips, are handled at this time. Questions are welcomed. (*Please note: schedule times are subject to change based on instructor availibility.)
 Dinner: Dinner will be served buffet style in the hotel dining room.
 Evening: After dinner we will have time for each participant to tell a little information about themselves and make connections with others. Program will adjourn by 8:30 PM.

Day 2: Yoga and Humor classes for the morning and a Humor class in the afternoon/ Making Healthy Smoothies this evening/Meals served in the hotel dining room
(Monday, October 21)
   
 Breakfast: Continental Breakfast served in the hotel dining room.
 Morning: Begin your yoga experience with a chair yoga class. Learn to breathe and stretch as you apply traditional techniques in a sitting position. This fun session will serve as a skill and interest survey so that the instructor can gear other classroom and beach yoga sessions specifically to you. Join us for a morning class that will tickle your funny bone! Learn the art of laughter first hand from a nationally acclaimed writer / comic. Explore the changing world of humor and comedy and discover how each reflects American life. Enjoy stories and jokes as you welcome laughter into your day!
 Lunch: Lunch will be served buffet style in the hotel dining room.
 Afternoon: Join us for an afternoon class that will tickle your funny bone! Learn the art of laughter first hand from a nationally acclaimed writer / comic. Explore the changing world of humor and comedy and discover how each reflects American life. Enjoy stories and jokes as you welcome laughter into your day!
 Dinner: Dinner is served buffet style in the hotel dining room.
 Evening: This evening, join a smoothie connoisseur for a class on healthy treats! Get the scoop on what it takes to make great tasting smoothies at home. Learn about ingredients, nutrition, and flavor while you relax with the scents of tropical fruits. The instructor will share recipes, and most importantly let your sample the finished products!

Day 3: Begin your day with a yoga class, then enjoy a class on Humor/ Free afternoon to explore the area/ Evening program on Pensacola Naval Air Station/All meals served in the hotel dining room.

 Breakfast: Continental Breakfast served in the hotel dining room.
 Morning: Start the morning with a relaxing Yoga class! Together with a professional instructor, learn to use this ancient art to balance your body and mind while developing strength and flexibility. Experience absolute tranquility as you connect with the energy of the ocean during classes on a beautiful white sand beach. You will also enjoy lessons in the classroom for a quieter, more serene experience! Just bring yourself and an open mind… this class is great for both beginner and experienced Yoga enthusiasts! (*Class location is dependent upon weather and is subject to change; flat sheet or large beach towel recommended for outdoor classes.) Join us for a class that will tickle your funny bone!  Afternoon: Enjoy a free afternoon exploring one of the Gulf of Mexico’s most beautiful areas! Relax, take a walk on the beach, feast on fresh gulf seafood, or shop at local boutiques. Visit the Tanger Outlet Mall - buy direct from over 120 brand name manufacturer and designer outlet stores. Whatever your taste, you are sure to find endless “must see” venues.
 Dinner: Buffet dinner is served in the hotel dining room.
 Evening: Evening class on the Naval Air Station. Instructor will talk about NAS and get you ready for your visit later in the week.

Day 4: Cooking class this morning/Field trip to Pensacola's Naval Air Station for the afternoon/ Evening program/ All meals served in the hotel dining room.
(Wednesday, October 23)
   
 Breakfast: Continental Breakfast is served in the hotel dining room.
 Morning: Enjoy class on cooking light. Discuss ways to avoid the “diet food” taste as you learn to use simple techniques for boosting flavor, cutting calories. Gather ideas and recipes for your home kitchen.
 Lunch: Lunch will be provided by your class chef. Enjoy eating what you have learned about in the morning session.
 Afternoon: Experience the proud history of flight on a field trip to the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Florida. One of the largest and most beautiful air and space museums in the world, NAS is home to over 140 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard Aviation. Soar with the Blue Angels in the dazzling seven-story glass and steel atrium that showcases four A-4 Skyhawks in a diving diamond formation. View them at eye-level from the mezzanine. The Museum also tells the human side of Naval Aviation and features memorabilia from each era of fighting including personal mementos from historic battles, flight logs, vintage equipment, and flight clothing.

 Evening: Evening designed to entertain will be offered this evening.

  Fort Morgan
Completed in 1834, Fort Morgan was active during four wars — the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, and World Wars I and II. The fort is most famous for its role in the Civil War Battle of Mobile Bay. Union Admiral David Farragut damned the torpedoes and went full speed ahead to win the battle. The massive fort contains more than 40 million bricks and pays tribute to the skilled masons, many of whom were enslaved African Americans. The fort features an active living history program that interprets all the military periods and holds an annual event commemorating the Battle of Mobile Bay.

Your adventure awaits at the National Naval Aviation Museum located on Pensacola Naval Air Station.
