Imagine playing at the Florida Tennis Center in Daytona Beach, home of USTA Florida, with 24 clay hydro-courts that are easy on the joints and allow quality play. Plus, a program tailored to your wants and goals, taught by certified teaching pros. This is not an off-the-shelf-program. You can build a foundation to advance your level through shot variety and consistency, all while having more fun!

• The pros will use a pre-program survey of your level, strengths, weaknesses and program goals to establish your individual instructional program.
• Take daily morning lessons based on your individual needs and pro feedback.
• Enjoy “mini” private lessons, afternoon round-robin play, and free ball machine usage.

Eligible participants must have a National Tennis Rating of 3.0 or better.

Bob Raub

A former executive with a Fortune 150 Company, Bob Raub retired in 1996 from the business world and turned his passion for tennis into a new career. As a tennis coach at River Wilderness Golf & Country Club, Bob has been leading Road Scholar tennis programs since 2002. He coached the Club's USTA senior ladies doubles team to back-to back winning seasons, and has served as a pro on staff at Peter Burwash International.

Daily Schedule

Day 1:
(Sunday, March 17)
   
 Afternoon: Registration begins at 4:00. You will meet your host/hostess and begin your week. Registration and get acquainted.
 Dinner: Opening banquet.
 Evening: After dinner will be your program orientation where you will go over your schedule for the week and ask any questions you may have. When registration and orientation is over the rest of the evening is yours to relax and settle in. Have a GREAT week!

Day 2: Instruction by US Professional Tennis Association Certified teaching Pros
(Monday, March 18)

Note: Free mini private lessons and a free ball machine is available.



   
 Breakfast: Breakfast is at the hotel.
 Morning: Courts available for early warm up at the Florida Tennis Center. Meet the Pros. Pros lead group in proper warm up and stretching for safer play and better performance. Group is organized by skill level. Pros Instruction focuses on strokes that participants gave highest priority to in pre-program survey. Group decides on strokes and tactics that they want to work on for the next day.
 Lunch: At the LPGA Restaurant
 Afternoon: Round Robin Play. A Pro floats from court to court and gives tips on tactics and shot selection. They also answer all player's questions during their play.
 Dinner: At the hotel
 Evening: Some evenings there will be entertainment. You may play cards, socialize or just relax.
