  End of Program:
Program ends at hotel by noon after visit to Space Needle and Chihuly Garden & Glass on Saturday morning. You will be staying at The Red Lion Hotel on 5th Avenue the night before.

From baggage claim area, ride elevator to the third floor. Cross the skybridge to the parking garage. Turn left and follow signs to the LINK Light Rail Terminal; Buy your ticket to the Westlake Station with cash or credit card. Ride the elevator up to the platform level and board the waiting train; they depart every 10 minutes. Get off at the Westlake Station. Take the elevator to street level. Nordstrom will be on your left.Walk 1.5 blocks south on 5th Ave. to the Red Lion Hotel, 1415 5th Ave.

Ride elevator to floor 3 from baggage claim area. Cross Skybridge 4 and descend to main level. Find Shuttle Express on Island 2. Vans leave every 30 minutes. Ride to the Sheraton Hotel. Walk 1/2 block to Pike Street, turn left and walk one block to 5th Avenue, cross street, turn left on 5th Avenue and walk 1/2 block to the Red Lion Hotel. For reservations: wwwShuttleExpress.com.
 
Driving Directions
  From the north From I-5 southbound, exit at Stewart Street (exit # 166). Follow Stewart to 5th Avenue. Turn left onto 5th Avenue. Drive 3.5 blocks to the Red Lion Hotel; the cross street before the hotel entrance is Pike Street.The hotel entrance is on the right side of the street. The garage entrance is down from the street and occurs before the main hotel entrance. If you reach Union St. you've gone too far.
  From the south, including SeaTac Airport Take I-5 northbound. Exit at Seneca Street (exit # 165).Follow Seneca to 4th Avenue. Turn right onto 4th Avenue, drive 3 blocks, turn right onto Pike Street, drive the length of that block, turn right onto 5th Avenue and see the basement garage entrance before the main hotel entrance. If you reach Union St. you've gone too far.

Daily Schedule

Day 1: Registration, reception, dinner.
(Tuesday, March 19)
   
 Arrive To: Hotel check-in time is 4:00 pm. Register in our meeting room at any time between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. At 5:00 pm enjoy a hosted reception. At 5:30 pm we will discuss the week's agenda .
 Dinner: Dinner at 6:00 PM in our meeting room.
 Evening: Introductions at 7:00 PM followed by a video of glass-making techniques to prepare us for tomorrow's glass lecture and gallery walk.

Day 2: Glass art lecture, Pike Place Market talk, gallery visits, fiber arts lecture.
(Wednesday, March 20)
   
 Breakfast: Buffet breakfast, 7:30-8:30 AM, in our meeting room: assorted cold cereals, hot cereal, choice of fruit/juices, eggs, meats, potatoes, pancakes, variety breads, toast station, coffee/decaf/tea.
 Morning: Lecture on NW glass art. "What's new in hand-made jewelry" talk by Karen Lorene, owner of Facere Jewelry Art, and demonstration/talk by several jewelry artists.
 Lunch: Lunch in our hotel meeting room.
 Afternoon: Short talk on the history and operations of the Pike Place Market, followed by a glass gallery walk and a behind-the-scenes stroll through the Market.
 Dinner: Dinner in our hotel meeting room.
 Evening: A local fiber artist will discuss and show current work and explore regional influences.

Day 3: Tacoma's Hotel Murano, Union Station, Tacoma Art Museum and Museum of Glass.
(Thursday, March 21)
   
 Breakfast: Buffet breakfast in our hotel meeting room, 7:00-8:00 am.
 Morning: Today is glass, glass and more glass. Travel by coach to Tacoma's museum district.Stop first at the Hotel Murano, with its abundant glass art created by the biggest names in studio glass. Enjoy a docent-led walk through the Tacoma Art Museum.
 Lunch: Enjoy a tasty lunch at Harmon's Brewpub--great food, great beer.
 Afternoon: See historic Union Station's displays of glass byTacoma native Chihuly. Ooh and aah as you stroll across the Chihuly Bridge of Glass to enter the Museum of Glass, with its working hot shop and changing displays, for a docent tour.
 Dinner: Choose dinner on your own tonight from among the many restaurants near our perfectly-located hotel or dine in one of two resturants in the hotel itself.
 Evening: This evening is on your own to spend with friends or family or enjoy theater,symphony or other pleasures.

Day 4: The craft-focused Bellevue Arts Museum, visit to working potter's studio, NW Gallery of Fine Woodworking, Seattle Art Museum.
(Friday, March 22)
   
 Breakfast: Buffet breakfast in our hotel meeting room.
 Morning: Start today across Lake Washington at the Bellevue Arts Museum, celebrated for its crafts emphasis. Travel to West Seattle to the studio of Loren Lukens, a working potter, as he demonstrates throwing, slip casting and more.
 Lunch: Lunch at Endolyne Joe's, a favorite neighborhood restaurant.
 Afternoon: We'll stop by the Northwest Gallery of Fine Woodworking to see wonderfully-crafted handmade furniture on our way to the Seattle Art Museum, just a few blocks down First Avenue.The Seattle Art Museum is known for its beautiful building as well as for its evocative art.
 Dinner: Dinner this evening will be a congenial gathering around the teppan yaki grills at Benihana, just a block from our hotel but a world away with its multitude of flavors and lively chefs.
 Evening: Our evening ends after our Benihana dinner.

Day 5: Space Needle video, monorail ride to Seattle Center, ascend the Space Needle, visit new Chihuly Garden & Glass exhibit.
(Saturday, March 23)
   
 Breakfast: Buffet breakfast in our hotel meeting room.
 Morning: View a 1962 video detailing the construction of the landmark Space Needle. Ride the monorail to the Seattle Center and zip to the top of the Needle for an unbeatable view of the mountains, lakes, city and Puget Sound. Walk next door to marvel at the sparkling new Chihuly Garden & Glass exhibit showcasing the largest collection of legendary glass-master Dale Chihuly's work ever assembled. You may want to walk two blocks to the free Gates Foundation Viisitor Center to learn about the philanthropic philosophy of this organization from interactive displays. Return to our hotel with the group or ride the monorail back at your leisure. Bon Voyage!
