| | A Road Scholar coordinator and instructor since 1998, Lynn Unser and his wife, Carol, have provided more than 30 Road Scholar programs annually. Lynn is adjunct faculty at Lane Community College in Florence, Ore. Most of her writings are humorous articles, but she is also the author of the book, “Holy Rollers: Murder and Madness in Oregon's Love Cult.” One of the most extraordinary accomplishments in her life was hitchhiking from Cape Town, South Africa to Kisangani, Zaire, and from there taking a barge 1,500 miles down the Congo River to Kinshasa. | | | | Carol Unser
| | Carol Johnson Unser has incorporated her love for nature throughout her career as an instructor at the University of Georgia’s Marine Science Center, interpretive coordinator for the National Marine Sanctuaries division of the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration, and estuarine education coordinator for the state of Oregon. In addition to her academic career, Carol is an accomplished artist who has illustrated more than a dozen books, including nature field guides and children’s books. | | | |
