Los Morrillos Lighthouse is one of the most popular attractions of Cabo Rojo. The immense red stone cliffs are very impressive. Once you climb the hill you can enjoy breathtaking views of a beautiful crescent shape bay beach with calm, blue clear waters. This 2.5 mile up- and down- hill hike is over rubbly terrain and solid walking shoes/hiking boots with good ankle support are a must. The area is a local birding spot so, as well as hiking, you may get to see a variety of herons and egrets, sandpipers and plovers and some of the island's indigenous birds.
