Visit Valentín Bianchi, which produces one of the country’s finest champagnes. Continue to Mendoza to hear from a specialist about Argentina’s wine production in a global context. Experience wineries including Ruca Malen and share a light meal and wine with the Antonietti family at their home and boutique winery. As an added highlight visit an olive oil factory.

Cross the Andes to Chile, where a lecture introduces Chilean cuisine before a hands-on lesson with a local chef. Explore vineyards including that of the renowned Errazuriz family. An expert discusses Chilean music including a lesson in Cueca, Chile's national music and dance. Walk through the colorful historic quarter of Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and take a boat excursion on Valparaiso Bay. | | Eduardo Gonzalez was born in Valparaiso, Chile, but pursued his secondary education in Scotland, where he lived for eight years. He returned to Chile to complete his education as an English-Spanish translator and interpreter before starting his own company, Turismo Latino-America. Eduardo worked for four years as a translator in Los Angeles, Calif., and is currently in Chile teaching English as a foreign language at two national universities.
