 Dinner: Dinner at the hotel will be followed by a staff led orientation of the program and Washington, D.C.

Day 2: Seminar and Exploration/Onsite visit
(Monday, October 15)
   
 Breakfast: A buffet will be served at the hotel.
 Morning: A seminar (possible topics include the media, international relations, current issues and the judiciary) will be followed by city/monument exploration.
 Lunch: Lunch at a local hotel is followed by a seminar (possible topics include the media, international relations, current issues and the judiciary).
 Afternoon: Visit a local organization and discuss its mission. Followed by city/monument exploration.
 Dinner: Dinner will be at a local resturant.
 Evening: A seminar (possible topics include the media, international relations, current issues and the judiciary) will be held at the hotel.

Day 3: Staff led seminar/Theater
(Tuesday, October 16)
   
 Breakfast: A buffet will be provided at the hotel.

 Lunch: Lunch will be held at a museum or gallery.
 Afternoon: A visit to a local, international organization followed by city exploration.
 Dinner: Dinner will be at a local resturant.
 Evening: The evening activity will be a performance at a local theater (Arena Stage, National Theater etc.).

Day 4: Capitol Hill/Meetings and Tours
(Wednesday, October 17)
   
 Breakfast: Breakfast will be a buffet at the hotel.
 Morning: An orientation to Capitol Hill will be followed by visits to the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress.
 Lunch: Lunch will be on your own on Capitol Hill.
 Afternoon: Tours of the Capitol and/or meetings with Representatives and Senators (or their staff) can be arranged on your behalf.
 Dinner: Participants will be on their own for dinner. Staff can recommend local eateries.
 Evening: Staff led seminar (possible topics include the media, international relations, current issues and the judiciary).

Day 5: Seminar and Embassy Visit/Independent Exploration/Final Dinner
(Thursday, October 18)
   
 Breakfast: A breakfast buffet will be served at the hotel.

 Lunch: Lunch will be at one of the Smithsonian museum cafes.
 Afternoon: Free time will be provided for exploration of the Smithsonian Museums.
 Dinner: The dinner at the hotel will be followed by a participant led discussion.

Day 6: Seminar and Departure

Free Time Opportunities
 
  Virginia Mall/Smithsonian Free Time
Most of the potential free time is spent at the Smithsonian Museums or the National Mall area. Program staff will try to accommodate participant requests for transportation to un-scheduled activities. We will often have a drop off and pick-up in the National Mall/Smithsonian area for participants. Staff will also try to direct participants to the best method of public transportation.
