Rehearsals, classes and concerts range from chamber music to medieval chant, baroque to classical orchestra masterpieces, emerging composers, international musicians and world premieres. Study Shakespeare's craft with American Shakespeare Center scholars, go behind the scenes with actors, and attend an evening performance at the unique Blackfriars Playhouse.
Highlights
• Attend classes led by musicologists that highlight the arrangements, interpretations and performance of Festival music. • Go on a private, behind-the-scenes exploration of the Blackfriars Playhouse, the world’s only recreation of Shakespeare’s original indoor theater. • Enjoy free time to explore Staunton’s quaint downtown region — a National Historic District.
