Program #21609RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Easy
We’re always developing educational adventures that open windows to new places and probe fascinating topics. Check out our latest creations.
See all of our New programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Encounter a new dimension of painting in the medium of your choice, as you enjoy the opportunity to capture an ethereal mountain landscape where the jagged peaks of the Grand Tetons provide the backdrop. A professional artist and art professor will provide direction throughout the week as you polish your technical skills, learn how to develop a strong composition and simply enjoy creating in the wilds of this majestic area.

Highlights

• Capture an intimate portrait of the majestic Grand Teton area with its beautiful lakes and rivers underlining a 40-mile-long mountain range that rises more than 7,000 feet above the surrounding valley.
• Through workshops and plein air experiences, a teaching artist will help you put to canvas the vibrant colors and interesting forms of the Grand Tetons.
• Enjoy a private, docent-led exploration of the National Museum of Wildlife Art, with a collection featuring more than 550 artists and 5,000 catalogued items dating from 2500 B.C. to the present.
