While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Join Road Scholar and revel in the pioneer spirit of Snowmass and Aspen, Colo., as we bring together lifelong learners from around the country amid spectacular scenery and the changing fall colors of the Colorado Rockies. This celebration of learning and adventure will combine museums, expert lectures, hikes, jeep adventures, river rafting and even a balloon festival! Enrich your experience with lectures by local experts about the history of the area, challenges to the natural environment and the most extensive archaeological dig in U.S. history — plus delight in a final dinner together while you enjoy an entertaining and educational cap to your week in beautiful Snowmass and Aspen.

• Witness the highest-elevation balloon festival in America, the Snowmass Balloon Festival. You’ll see spectacular morning flights and an evening lighted ascension and concert.
• Experience the “top of it all” with field trips to the Continental Divide and the world-famous and breathtaking view of the “Maroon Bells.”
• Choose to hike, bike or take jeep rides in the spectacular Rocky Mountains, then go on an exhilarating rafting adventure on the Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon.
