Program #21359RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Digital cameras have given anyone with technical ability and a hint of creativity the opportunity to take photos that would have been envied by those using film just a few years ago. Advances in post-processing technology allow even weekend photographers to enhance images in ways unimaginable until now. Join us to cross the line from simply taking pictures to creating art. With expert guidance from an accomplished professional photographer-artist, unlock the secrets of digital enhancement. Great Camp Sagamore provides the setting for inspiration and photo assignments that become raw material for learning to use two computer programs, Lightroom and Photoshop, that can help you transcend the merely pretty and approach the sublime.

Highlights

• Develop your artistic eye and technical skill by learning and using advanced image management and enhancement programs.
• Work closely with Burdette Parks, whose passion for teaching is surpassed only by his artistic skill as a successful professional photographer.
• Explore Great Camp Sagamore, situated on a lake in the middle of a beautiful, 40,000-acre Adirondack Wilderness and boasting some of the most significant examples of rustic architecture anywhere.
