Take the road less traveled up New Brunswick’s Acadian Coast on this fascinating adventure, learning how two tales of colonialism collided in the struggle between the British and the Acadians of New France for control of a New World outpost. Discover rich Acadian heritage, visit pivotal sites and meet the hearty, time-tested people of this unique corner of Canada.

• View St. Croix Island, where French settlement of North America began, and Fort Beauséjour near Moncton, which tells the story of France and Britain’s long war for supremacy over Acadia.
• Experience the joie de vivre of Acadian life through music at Le Pays De La Sagouine, and attend an Acadian kitchen party at a local home in Caraquet, which provides a glimpse into the culture of the Acadian family.
• In Fredericton, the provincial capital, join experts in the Historic Garrison District, Government House and other sites that illuminate the city’s British history.
