If you’re looking for a more flexible schedule with ample independent time and several meals on your own, then our FLEX learning adventures are made for you.
The beautiful Rocky Mountains form the spectacular backdrop of a five-day adventure by bicycle to meet the people and uncover the treasures of the rolling foothills and plains. Pedal each morning along scenic back roads to local microbreweries and sustainable farms to meet the brewers and growers that represent the cutting edge of Colorado agriculture and food production.


• Explore by bicycle the Fort Collins region, one of most bike friendly cities in the U.S. riding 20 to 40 miles through great scenery and attractions.
• Fort Collins features internationally known breweries and micro-breweries. Following daily bicycle rides, explore the facilities and sample products.
• Ride by bike to learn about organic farms and sustainable ranches to discover the leading edge of the local foods movement.

Program Notes

Quality 24-speed hybrid-style bicycles are provided, helmets required. Participants may bring own bicycles if approved in advance. Participants may also bring own seats and/or pedals if desired. Rolling hills, easy to moderate climbs, some steep, on paved roads/highways with moderate traffic and paved bicycle paths. Must demonstrate good biking ability; proficiency/safety test is conducted. This learning adventure is one of our FLEX programs. It offers a more flexible schedule than our traditional programs and includes ample independent time and several meals on your own.

Activity Notes

Biking up to 40 miles a day. Elevations of 4,600-8,000 feet. Walking up to one-half mile, mostly flat terrain, some steps.
