Program #20269RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Set amidst thousands of acres of forest-covered hills, a pristine lake and near one of America’s most remarkable underground playgrounds, Trout Lodge is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise in the Ozarks. Join the outdoor staff to experience the natural history of the area on a hike, canoe Sunnen Lake and learn about aquatic ecology, try your hand at archery or riflery, and take a pontoon ride on an underground lake. You can even learn about horses at the Triangle Y ranch and go for a ride. You’ll be amazed at all the activities so close!

Highlights

• Voted one of America’s Top 100 Adventures, take a pontoon ride on the underground lake in the Bonne Terre Mine.
• Venture out on a naturalist-led hike to a mud cave, then explore inside.
• Visit a local winery to sample local wines, try line dancing with ranch staff and enjoy a campfire under the stars!

Activity Notes

Hiking up to 2 miles, caving requires getting muddy and wet.

Coordinated by YMCA of Greater St. Louis/Trout Lodge.
