See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Program intended for grandchildren from 10 - 14 years of age.

Learn about animals and nature's creations and make amazing discoveries working at The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary at Angel Canyon, in the heart of the Golden Circle of national parks in southern Utah. Through hands-on fun and learning, work together, create bonds and assist sanctuary staff to feed, groom, exercise, poop scoop, socialize, train or clean the animals, and help with other projects. Take advantage of the time in the area to explore Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks.

Highlights

• Spend time with each animal and learn how the sanctuary runs.
• Evenings include a birds of prey presentation, and interactive group activities to learn about endangered species, geology and wildlife.
• Enjoy field trips to Zion National Park and a horseback ride in Bryce Canyon.

Activity Notes

Easy to moderate walking and physical activity.
