Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Isolated off the British Columbia coast for millennia, Haida Gwaii (formerly Queen Charlotte Islands) are referred to as “Canada’s Galápagos.” From towering old-growth forests to the magnificent totem poles of Haida villages, experience the quiet beauty of these islands and sail to sacred sites inaccessible by car.

• Explore the Haida Gwaii Museum and Heritage Centre and savor a traditional meal with a Haida family at a home in Skidegate.
• Set off on Zodiac boats and sea kayaks to float above a garden of colorful starfish, anemones and urchins just below the surface.
• Discover the crumbling town of Windswept Skedans (Koona), a once-thriving Haida village where the totems are beginning to fall.

Program Notes

On this voyage we keep the itinerary flexible to make the best of wildlife sightings, weather conditions and the interests of the group. On this voyage the itinerary is intentially kept flexible to take advantage of wildlife sightings, weather and tides, and the interests of the group.
Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes

All shore excursions require transfer by specialized Zodiac tenders. Region has very little trail development and is still very much a wilderness.
