Program #21367RJ
12 Days | 11 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Program date intended for grandparents, their children and grandchildren ages 7 - 12.

With rough-and-tumble history and natural wonders that make you say “Wow!,” there’s something for the whole family to learn about on this odyssey through the Great Lakes. We’ve planned enriching experiences for explorers of every age, as we journey from Chicago on Lake Michigan, through the Soo Locks to Lake Superior to the shores of Thunder Bay.

Highlights

•Get a local’s look at the can’t-miss icons and neighborhoods of Chicago.
•On beautiful Mackinac Island, a Victorian-era haven, learn how locals get around without cars, using bicycles and horse-drawn carriages.
•Hike, kayak or learn the history of the amazing coastal wilderness along Lake Superior.
