While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Journey along one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines as you follow the Pacific Coast Highway to some of California’s most idyllic places. Begin with an immersion into San Diego’s rich history before traveling north to Laguna Beach, a center of plein air painting. Delve into the Queen Mary’s expansive past, then explore J. Paul Getty’s art collection at the Getty Center.

Reflect at Santa Barbara’s Mission, savor Santa Ynez wines and marvel at the palatial Hearst Castle.
Behold Big Sur’s rugged coastline and encounter the wonders of the ocean at Monterey Bay Aquarium.
A final stop in San Francisco offers a local’s look at the city including a visit to Alcatraz Island.

Activity Notes

Walking up to 1.5 miles; inclines up to 130 feet in quarter mile walk. Participants must be able to get on/off coach and transport their own bags.
