EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Nowhere is nature's power to produce transcendent beauty as apparent as amid the more than 70,000 acres of Point Reyes National Seashore. Join a naturalist in its most captivating corners and timeless lands. Depending on the season, observe migrating gray whales, sea lions, elephant seals, harbor seals, tule elk and axis deer, and view its amazing avian diversity. Survey more than 5,000 years of human history, from Coast Miwok Indians to European explorers and farmers to the recent encroachment of nearby population centers.

• Experience the serenity of walking among the giant redwood trees in Muir Woods.
• Delve into the extraordinary effort at The Marine Mammal Center, where injured marine animals — mostly various kinds of seals — are rehabilitated.
• Visit the historic Pierce Ranch and learn the history of its Tule Elk Preserve, numbering nearly 450 protected elk.
