EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Your Amazing Brain
In the last few years, incredible discoveries in brain research are beginning to shed new light on mysteries such as “What are dreams? and what does our brain do when we sleep as well as questions such as: How do we learn and remember things and what can we do to improve our abilities in these areas? How does food affect our brain? Dr. Mark Milstein, a popular lecturer at UCLA, will demystify these questions and more, in an easy to understand and entertaining manner.

Chassidism: The World of Jewish Fundamentalism
Chassidism, the impassioned ethical-mystical movement that swept Eastern Europe in the 18th century seems to be the embodiment of the Jewish past. In this course, lectures supplemented with DVD documentary films will survey the history and evolution of the movement, from the Ba’al Shem Tov to Menachem Mendel Shneershon and beyond. Join Ken Blady, an American Jewish University lecturer, for this wonderful opportunity to gain insights into the lifestyle and practices of this ultra–Orthodox sub-culture, which vehemently opposes modernity.

Attention! Attention! Miracles are Everywhere
Join Rabbi Yitzak Gaines, American Jewish University lecturer, to learn about this phenomenon. Jewish tradition is replete with miracles. Moses and the burning bush, the 10 plagues of Egypt, the splitting of the Red Sea and many more recorded in written and oral traditions. What about today? Should we still believe in miracles? What does Kabbalah, science and archaeology have to say about miracles and supernatural phenomena?
