See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Kayak the tidal creeks, inlets, rivers and salt marshes of beautiful, historic Amelia Island, known as the “Isle of Eight Flags” because it has been claimed by France, Spain, England, Mexico, the Green Cross of Florida, the Patriots of Amelia Island, the Confederacy and the U.S. Enjoy an exciting day of kayaking in the protected Okefenokee Swamp, an atmospheric blackwater swamp of cypress trees, wading birds and, of course, abundant alligators. Along the way, naturalists give presentations flora and fauna, coastal birds and area history.

• Explore the coast of Amelia Island and the Okefenokee Swamp during four days of kayaking with local expert leaders.
• Take a field trip to Kingsley Plantation, a grand estate where the owner’s house, kitchen house and remains of 25 slave cabins still stand.
• Paddle on saltwater creeks and marshes and learn what makes the latter the most productive ecosystem on the planet.
