While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Home to the largest waterfall in North America, the Niagara region is also a hub of renowned theater, history and a booming viticulture industry. Learn about its rich history and vibrant culture as you explore Niagara's heritage trail and stroll through fields of vineyards. Go behind the scenes at the Shaw Festival and admire the celebrated sites and historic homes on an architectural walk through Ontario's only National Historic District.

Highlights

• At the Shaw Festival, meet privately with theater professionals before the show to see the backstage world of rehearsals, costume design and creativity, as well as enjoying a matinee performance.
• Discuss with specialists at the Niagara College Wine and Culinary Institute the effects of terroir and micro-climate on Ontario’s fine wines.
• Meet with local experts on an overnight field trip to Chatham and explore the significance of the Underground Railroad on the road to freedom.

Activity Notes

Walking 1-2 miles on city streets; some stairs.
