EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
There are few places on earth where the marriage of land and sea is as dramatic as the coast of Canada’s Maritime provinces and Maine. Spend two weeks wending your way from the Saint Lawrence Seaway and along the Atlantic coast to find centuries-old fishing towns, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and spellbinding natural wonders.

Highlights

• Spend a day among the cobblestone lanes, copper gables and historic battlements of Quebec City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Step back into Nova Scotian village life of the 19th and early 20th centuries at Sherbrooke, an open-air living history museum.
• Voyage past lighthouses along Maine’s dramatic coast and learn about the lobstering and shipbuilding industries.

Activity Notes

Walking up to one mile per day. Standing for up to two hours at a time, up to four hours a day. Mobility is essential, as small boats and tenders are sometimes used for disembarkation and re-embarkation.
