See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Enter canyon country — home of prehistoric Puebloan “cliff-dwellers,” range-riding cowboys and modern-day Navajo and Ute tribal peoples. Bring your colors and your imagination to capture the magic of this region’s sculpted red rocks, mountains and orchards through painting. From high-desert, red, slick-rock sandstone to serene McElmo Creek winding through the canyon, these remarkable surroundings supply lush colors and contrasts while ancient Native American legends and cowboy lore inject inspiration into sessions of sketching, painting and journaling. Expert teaching artists provide one-on-one instruction, introducing you to novel techniques and enriching your painting expression.

• Explore the 40-acre archaeological preserve that surrounds your B&B lodgings to observe 1,000-year-old ancestral Puebloan ruins in various stages of excavation or restoration.
• Spend a day at Hovenweep National Monument, using this beautiful and quiet setting as inspiration for your art.
• Learn substrate preparation and other new techniques to expand your prowess in watercolor and acrylic painting.
