Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
The waterfalls of Havasupai, with their sparkling turquoise waters and idyllic travertine laden pools, are a world renowned natural attraction. Adding to their mystique is the fact they reside in the heart of the Grand Canyon on the reservations lands of the Havasupai, who have resided in the Grand Canyon for the last 800 years. And with the nearest road being 10 miles away, it requires a hike through world class scenery to get there. Come join us on this backpack trip of a lifetime!

Highlights

• Camp for 3 nights in the Havasupai Campground, where the waters of Havasu Creek and the adjacent waterfalls serenade your senses.
• Discover the history of the Havasupai, meet tribal members, and have a dinner in Supai Village.
• Travel to Grand Canyon’s South Rim for a day hike along the famed South Kaibab Trail. Expert guides accompany you throughout this “Grand Adventure!”

Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes

Strenuous hiking 4-10 miles a day with packs weighing 30-35 pounds at elevations of 2,400-7,000 feet; elevation change of 3,000’ on two days of hiking; uneven, sometimes rocky terrain.
