ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Explore Maine’s beautiful coast and its hundreds of islands aboard the 95-foot windjammer “Angelique.” This swift, snug and safe steel-and-wood sailing vessel serves as lodge, classroom and serene retreat. Departing from the beautiful town of Camden, “Angelique” drops anchor every evening in a picturesque harbor to let you explore a historic village, a beach or tide pool, a lighthouse or an uninhabited island.

• Lodge each night aboard the classic English Channel windjammer “Angelique,” in scenic harbors along Maine’s majestic coast.
• Learn about the intriguing history of Castine, site of the worst naval disaster of the American Revolution.
• Explore Stonington, a quintessential New England fishing village home to the famous Deer Isle granite.
Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes

Walking over varied terrain. Navigate onboard ship, climb in and out of bunks as well as seine boats for shore excursions.

Date Notes
This program week will include a guided visit to Acadia National Park, the jewel of the Maine coast and one of our nation’s most beautiful parks. Sail to Mount Desert Island and board a bus for the tour. The tour will stop at the most popular attractions including the breathtaking views from the summit and Thunder Hole.6/12/2016
Angelique will be part of a "raft up" of the historic vessels of the Maine Windjammer Association! All the boats will be securely tied up to each other and you will be able to roam freely from boat to boat. It`s a wonderful opportunity to tour the decks of so many historic vessels, many of which made a living transporting granite, lumber, and lime at one point in their lives.8/25/2016
Four night program.
