ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Program intended for grandchildren from 10 - 14 years of age.

Share with your grandchild the adventures of Cabot Shores/Cape Breton nature sanctuary, where eagles and other seabirds wait to be discovered and early-morning walkers may photograph a distant moose on the path. Set out by canoe, kayak or standup paddle board in the sanctuary’s tidal pond, visit Bird Islands by boat to see puffins, seals and eagles, and savor local lobster and other delectables, including early vegetables harvested from the organic garden. Make and bake your own personal pizza in an outdoor, wood-fired oven, immerse yourself in Gaelic language, local history and lively music at an authentic Cape Breton Ceilidh, and gather with Mi'kmaq friends around a fire to explore their culture and hear their stories.

• Immerse yourself in Gaelic language and culture with story-telling, crafts and an evening Ceilidh of Celtic music and dancing.
• Venture into the beautiful surroundings through a variety activities including, hiking, kayaking and canoeing, all suited to your ability.
• Meet local Elders from the Mi'Kmaq tribe who will guide you through traditional ceremonies, crafts, language, drumming and singing
