Program #17280RJ
7 Days | 6 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Immerse yourself in the 40th-annual Sacramento Music Fest, where over a hundred musicians perform amid historic Old Sacramento. Discover the origins and evolutions of this unique American art form and learn how to listen and appreciate it guided by experts. Daily discussions and private performances equip you to enjoy this music not only at the festival, but also in your future musical adventures.

Highlights

• Choose from hundreds of festival performances by dozens of jazz, blues, zydeco and other bands, including many internationally known artists.
• Special passes admit you to the Musician’s Hospitality Room, where you can mingle with musicians and chat with them about their craft.
• Discussions with jazz experts help you interpret the performances you attend, in addition to addressing a host of other topics, from Vaudeville greats to the business side of jazz.

Activity Notes

Walking varies with choice of venues. Shuttle provided to and from festival, shuttles available throughout festival sites. Mostly level terrain, some wooden sidewalks.

Coordinated by Road Scholar.
