ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Add to your birding life list in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains! Discover the species that call this region home during the summer months as you join us at Estes Park in June or Colorado State University’s Mountain Campus at Pingree Park in July. Walk each day to different birding observation locations, and enjoy field trips either via hiking or van to different habitats, sometimes above the treeline. Whether you’re a novice or experienced birder, you’ll gain a greater understanding of mountain birds and get ecological insight into bird and human behavior. Join us for this fascinating look into the birds of Northern Colorado!

• Depending on date, join us in Estes Park or Pingree Park to explore summer Rocky Mountain birds and their habitats, many just outside your front door!
• Hike above the treeline to look for ptarmigan, Sooty Grouse, Dusky Grouse and other high-country birds.
• Discover how altitude during field trips affects flora and fauna and creates ideal but fragile habitats for birds and wildlife.
